Hi there Stars!

Welcome to Star Touring & Riding Chapter 153, Sacramento’s Home Page.  We hope you find the information you seek and come check us out.  The philosophy of this chapter is …RIDE, eat, RIDE, laugh, and RIDE, but more importantly then that…HAVE FUN!!!

As the new President of Star 153, I want to thank the previous officers for their commitment to making 2007 the fantastic year that it was.  The officers for this year have committed to making this chapter GREAT in 2008.

For those looking for a group to ride with, please take a look at our Shepherd’s Corner where we have put together “Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) that we hope will answer most of your questions.  You can also “Contact a Shepherd” from that area if the FAQs haven’t answered your particular question.  And just so you know, all bike makes and models are welcome….

Our Calendar section shows upcoming events, including date, time, destination, and start location.  You are welcome to join any of our rides and attend our monthly meetings prior to joining this chapter.  In fact, it’s required (we get to know you, you get to know us).

So explore our web site, join us at a meeting, and go on a ride with us and HAVE SOME FUN!!!!

Janet “Sonshine” Sturkey

President

Chapter History

Chapter 153 is a fairly new chapter that is currently establishing itself as a prominent Sacramento area Motorcycling group. The Chapter Charter was founded by Thom McVey and was signed in January of 2001, and that's when it all began. As a Chapter we are currently creating the foundation that we will build on in the future. As a new Chapter, we are continually growing and expanding on our present core group of members. We are active in our community raising money for various charities. We are now entering our third year with our annual Easter Baskets for the Children Receiving Home of Sacramento. This Christmas we have organized our first annual Toy run for the Receiving Home and it was a big Success thanks to our members and our Sister Star Chapters. Our rides also show support to our community and surrounding community, such as our ride to the Veterans Memorial Hospital for Veteran's Day and various Toy's Run. Although our history is brief, we are making its creation as memorable as possible. With your help and the help of many others we will continue to grow and make a positive impact on the community around us. So please join us in making a difference in someone life.
